Now we move on to Chancho en Piedra's 5th album, "El Tinto Elemento" (The title is a Spanish pun, changing "the fifth element" to the "red element", like a wine). Other fans say that THIS is where the band peaked, others say that this is the beginning of the band's downfall, but this is the most experimental album so far, and also with more mature songs without putting aside their trademark irreverence; for example discrimination for appearance (Animales Disfrazados), alcoholism (El Impostor), not being a "doomer" (Tamalacosa), a call-out to the Chileans' behaviour (Porque el Chileno es Así), consumerism during the Holidays season (Pa$cuero), the adventures of Fart Boy (Niño Peo) and a dog getting erectile dysfunction (Lassio)? Also good songs, like "Baldor", "Invitación" and my favourite song of the group, "Allegro". Here I'm dressed in fur pants and a vest with a funny helmet that the band members wore during that marathon concert and Sallie as the Midsommar-like people that appear on the cover.
