<i>B. dendrophila</i> is a beau of a snake. Their venom can be nasty if you're allergic to it, but still isn't as strong and doesn't kill you, thus there is a number of people out there who seek to keep it in captivity (i guess it's the thrill of having something venomous that still isn't as hardcore as a Black Mamba, making it more of a Pensiverlängerung than your usual Corn Snake or Ball Python. It also get's quite huge, so that's another bonus for many).

I also read how their venom is more specialized for bird biology because they mainly eat birds, and that's why birds are more likely to die from their venom than mammals (even rodents).
Venom stuff is interesting! If I didn't suck at chemistry and memorizing its complicated formulas, I'd want to get into this whole topic of poisons/antidote for a living.
