It's pretty good, but the lack of a BG, or at least a flamboyant one, does make it seem like something more should be added. Like text or a logo.

at my past 2 attempts at the assignments, i was drilled down for the bad reaction too background over powering my characters, as it was for the rest of the class. My teacher even pointed it out that it is more about the character visibility than anything for these asssignments. and if a girl without a background to her characters can get a B, and my characters get an F, i think i need to try something different like this.

I wasn't saying that you should do something that would draw attention to the BG only, I was saying that you should make sure the BG accents the characters. After reading what you just said about that girl, It sounds to me that even a flat BG would be cool.

which is what i was getting at, i dont need a distracting background full of stuff, i need to just display the characters, since this is a character class, not a background class. i tried to find a destroyed city steet online but i couldnt find anything from point of veiw of this drawing. so i went with the flat background
