I did this yestrday on DeviantArt for people who don't know how to get started.
The classic "one pencil and a piece of paper" isn't enough and very demotivating for people
persuaded they have to be born with incredible talent...
So if you are interested, I post it here too.
You are welcome to ask any question about the tools and the process.
How said Droopy : "Cheaters never win".
Be proud about everything you create.

A good guide indeed.
Can second on the take that good materials make learning art much more pleasant.
Cheap pencils, thin paper, bad liners can produce a good result too, hell, even Picasso drew his masterpieces if those stories were true... But bad materials will make learning art hell. Been there, can relate.

Of course you don't need to habe expensive tools, reason I said with 25-50 euros, you can already have a good begining.
I just think a good tool is more usefull and make the learning more pleasant, more confortable.
Say "you just need a pencil and a piece of paper" is a big lie for me...people can't take drawing seriously if they are unable to discipline themself with a sketchbook and a good material.
I did some suggestion and encourage people to multiplicate test with the tools before spend money ^^. Especially with alcohol markers and liners.
