Amara decided to sunbathe earlier today and spent the entire day laying out on a towel on the back porch, snoozing away. She only meant to stay out for an hour or two but by the time she woke up the sun was setting. And apparently while she was "using" rest, she accidentally used synthesis via sleep talk a bunch, causing her natural photosynthesis to go into extreme overdrive and making her store all that resulting energy as fat like a potato stores it as starch. We had to help her into the living room after that. Now Tofu and I are snuggling up beside her soft, warm, overgrown self, and I can see why Tofu likes using me as a cuddle toy when I end up getting really fat.
Amara's nearly immobile at this size, her small stature can't take the weight as well as I can. But based on that slight smile making its way through her "food"-coma induced daze she doesn't actually seem to mind all that much.
It's only fair that Amara gets to be a massive butterball at least once, since Tofu's been one a couple of times and Sloan's been one on a monthly basis in various forms.
And yes, Amara's flowers grow larger if she takes the time to photosynthesize.
