W00t, first pic with my new monitor!
Okay, this needs a bit of explanation: My parents and my brother got me as a birthday gift a new monitor - a 24" widescreen badass.
Now I needed to get used to it for a bit and especially in drawing I needed to adjust. Also, I'm stuck in Dragon Age at the moment, having played about 40 hours already with no end in sight. (I still got to play through Awakening and the DLCs)
So combining both my passion and excitement for the new game with the need for a fitting desktop wallpaper and add a bit of impending artblock and voila, you'll get the Hawke version of my character, nice and simple :P
Now I tried a bit of a new shading method with this one. As you can see its a rougher and here and there more detailed method. I thought my smooth shading wouldnt fit the rough atmosphere of the Dragon Age games and especially that motive, so I tried myself on getting everything look a bit darker and with more edge. It worked out well and I really like the outcome, but it took a lot of work and I dont think I'll be using it again anytime soon.

24'' Monitore rocken ^.^ Aber ja, dauert nen Augenblick, bis man sich an die größe gewöhnt hat.
Das Bild sieht ziemlich cool aus, vor allem mit dem Blutstreifen über der Nase.
Du machst Dich gut als Hawke (oder ja auch orange auf der Rüstung hat, wie mir gerade aufgefallen ist)
Und der harte Kontrast zwischen dem weiß und dem Blut am Boden hat definitiv was.

Not REALLY into these kinds of games... but I haven't played it so I can't say anything about it at all. Pretty epic picture though :P
Hm, don't know if you plan on getting Dragon Age II, but I have a free "Dead space Isaac inspired" armor code I might never use... I just gotta dig into my games to find dead space 2... Would you like it if I can find it? (Unless you already got it :P)
