Description:
Howell the red wolf hailed from the same town in Southern Arizona as Miguel Picoblancos. In fact, they had been friends since childhood, and they remained in contact with each other even to this day. However, unlike Miguel, Howell had a bit detailed background, mostly about his coming-out from a local shantytown, taking up a quadrant of the desert town, where he used to play his banjo (that his father bought) to entertain his fellow people there, but of course he had no problem studying till his graduation. Eventually, he had to go college at some point and had to leave his hometown with only his own banjo whose music was worth remembering by.

For two years, Howell had been living with his friend Miguel while still engaging in college studies, but then in January 2022, Miguel requested for a leave for few months while he asked the red wolf to look after his room. In early June this year, Howell had finished the second term in his semester when a big and muscular squirrel soldier named Arnold Hazelnuts approached him. Arnold revealed he was being summoned by Miguel to pick Howell, as the red wolf was already enlisted for the MALAKAS Project without his knowledge. However, both Miguel and Howell had been invested into bodybuilding to begin with and hence in internet contact with instructors working under the said project. Miguel could not come home by himself until the end of the year due to his instructorship he signed up for, and even gave Howell a proof by showing himself via online video chat. After Arnold explained much about the MALAKAS Project, the surprised Howell agreed to join.

His experience in the mountain base (under the MALAKAS Project) in forested California was once again no different from other recruits, even Miguel's, but he made himself an image through his banjo plays. A rather minor one though, it was because there were better musicians who could perform not just with skill but also with experience and emotion. A banjo was just not for everyone's musical taste. Still, Howell managed to garner a hundred recruits willing to enjoy his plays throughout his whole stay. Besides that, he had been training with Miguel as his instructor.

However, as he became a Super Soldier, his banjo would eventually weakened its music due to being hampered by an increasingly humid environment, but it was then destroyed a day later by one member of Cranberry gang just of spite in his music taste. Although heartbroken over his old broken banjo, Howell's spirits were somehow lifted through Miguel's pep talk and he was taken to the Jayheart's Workshop where he bought a new banjo, painted in shades of black but stronger and more durable. Another day later, the same Cranberry member who destroyed the old banjo took word of it and went after Howell just to destroy his new banjo, prompting the red wolf to hit him back with the same banjo, but while its swing attack was more blunt, the new banjo remained intact. The Cranberry member screamed in rage and attempted to stab Howell with a sharp tree branch, but his fellow members arrived at the scene and quickly restrained him, reminding him about their gang's situation with other new gangs rising up in unity against the former. The Cranberry member begrudgingly relented and left, while Howell moved on to practice with his new banjo.

Eventually, the red wolf had gained the temporary Juggernaut ability, but declined Miguel's offer for instructorship, reminding his friend about his upcoming semester later. After a warming hug with Miguel, Howell returned home with his new banjo, he passed by his shantytown to see his friends and family, and stayed there for a while, before going back to college.
