I can also think quarl is inspired off muk (body structure), the cheese slimes from pizza tower, pikmin (leaf on the head) and even a bit of lilo n stitch. He looks adorable and I want to feed him all kinda of cheese. Cheddar, American, mozzarella, even Muenster for cheese monster.
It was really just Muk, I've never played Pizza Tower and only learned of the cheese monsters after I made Quarl, and Lilo and Stitch is just something that inspires me in general! Also, the little leaf on the head is actually just a piece of basil, inspired by the fact you put greens on fancy meals like this.
But yes, I'm sure it'd be grateful to have more cheese in it!
