Said Primordial sludge is a lovecraft monster.

I have a question though. Is the black idol actually malevolent or just wishes to be a whole again at the expense of everyone that became separate from it, that being the only reason it’s the antagonist. It wishes to be whole which is in opposition to everyone wanting to be individual.

I’m not honestly clear on whether the black idol is even sentient. Or possibly if it’s a Lovecraftian god, so immense and unknowable that it can’t even think down to our level, and is fundamentally alien.
