I actually drew this sometime in September, but I lost the drawing until a week or so ago. I was given a ten-pack of special painting markers and I wanted to draw something that would look realistic while still having a limited color range. So I popped open a bird book and choose a ring-necked pheasant.
I've never used such markers before, and while I'm not too fond of how the black spilled on the beak, I am otherwise fairly proud of how this one turned out.
Funfact! I almost got a job at a pheasant farm, but I was turned down because owning my own flock of chickens would have presented a 'severe health risk' to the pheasants.
