For a few years the only real artwork I was doing was making maps for the TRPGs that I was GMing. Unfortunately, with COVID the campaign kind of came to an end, but I'm still pretty proud of the work I did on these. All of my maps are drawn traditionally with ink.
Another map from my tabletop game. This sat in a half finished state with just the coasts, rivers, and mountains inked in for about three years. I had gotten too excited about laying down the inks that I had neglected to add the towns and labels for them. It was good enough to work with for the game, but I decided to finish it up and I am quite pleased with the results though doing that compass rose without the proper tools was quite a challenge. On note of the text, the archaic characters of characters ð, an old letter that was replaced with th, and ſ, a archaic form of the letter s known as the long s, are used to keep in line with the in game lore.
This map actually represents a location on earth. The Skir archipelago lies somewhere west of Scotland and North of Ireland and is a enclave of magical creatures that had become trapped on earth. The small nation has long standing connections to the UK government that stems back from a blood pact made all the way back with King Arthur. The islands are protected with strong ancient magical enchantments and help from the UK and Irish governments to keep their existence a secret. Within the setting magical creatures on earth are actually known by most world governments who help protect them and cover up any magical mishaps that occur. In return most of the magical enclaves give their help to the governments that protect them. Of course the players tend to be pretty bad at keeping things secret and one of them even commented at one point that they felt pretty bad about how much extra work they were giving the agent assigned to them.

One of the players eventually looked at me at one point and said he felt bad for Howard (the agent from that story I wrote) because of how much paperwork the group was giving him. They eventually got in a ton of trouble for all of that when they got involved with the UK government because it then became out of his hands (although they ended up getting the actual Duchess to bail them out and make it all legal eventually).
