I think the background is a bit to bright, maybe like at night, with the moon hanging high in the sky and the moonlight shimmering off the waters of a lake would probably make it a bit more interesting I think. Still you did a great job figure and pondering expression!

Maybe! I wanted to keep the whole picture simple and "light". You can see how the skin almost blends with the background.

But I like your idea. I plan to draw more backgrounds in the future when I'm less tired.
