There's a loop on it (should be), and you attach that to a belt.

Hey there! I am glad the tail had made it safely to you! I would suggest buying a slim belt one about 1 to 1.5 inches wide. I tested it on a 2.5 inch wide belt and it worked you may have to stretch the loop but it will not damage the tail :)
Or if you don't have a belt you can just get a key ring and attach it to the tail and the belt loop right in the middle of the back of your jeans or pants. If all else fails you can use a safety pin to attach it. If you need a demo on exactly how to attach a tail please note me and I will make one up for you! 8D

luckily right now I have a 1 inch belt on and thank you for telling me you could stretch the loops, thank you so much ^.=.^
