When Adrian and Michael met during their freshman year in college, there was instant chemistry. Michael had this serenity about him that allowed Adrian a safe harbor in his frenetic life, and in turn Michael found talking to Adrian much more intellectually stimulating than discussing girls, beer, and football with his teammates. They eventually started doing everything together, so much so that their friends would joke about them being in a relationship. Though Michael knew how to take a joke, Adrian was inwardly mortified. That night, Adrian stared at his dorm ceiling for hours on end, and when the bunny realized that he actually did want Michael as more than a friend, he tamped down these feelings. For the rest of the year, Adrian's heart fluttered whenever Michael put a friendly hand on his shoulder, but he didn't dare do anything that would hint at his inner feelings.

Spring turned into summer break, and they went back to opposite sides of the country. Paradoxically, this distance brought them even closer together. Texting turned into long phone calls turned into long video calls, and when it was just the two of them, talking about anything that crossed their mind, Adrian suddenly found it easy to compliment Michael's physique. He was only telling the honest truth, after all. The line between friendly conversation and flirting was blurred and eventually crossed with no regrets.

Needless to say, once school started again, they wasted no time.

Not too happy about the panel composition here, I'm sure it's obvious that the third panel was an afterthought. I'm happy with the backgrounds and the anatomy, though!
