"Jerry & the Lion" was always my favorite cartoon of Tom & Jerry.
I loved the lion's design and personality. He was so big and powerful and yet he was scared.
I was inspired to make this pic of a "slightly larger" lion asking Jerry to help him get back to the jungle.
Tom is gonna have quite the surprise when he sees this lion now.

They could easily have made him a bully that Tom and Jerry had to team up to defeat.
He was hungry after all, so he could have tried to eat one or both of them.
Him being friendly towards Jerry made him more memorable.
It was a shame he was only in one episode.
