I believe this was done in Open Canvas. I never really got into the program much (I prefer using SAI nowadays), but I did want to practice doing a more painterly style. The subject is Angelo, a wolf character from a wolf RP from years ago. Never really had a chance to play him well, as he was brought into the RP as a puppy rather than the conceptualized adult I initially designed him to be, and, at the time, the RP was beginning to lose steam and become inactive.

The markings were based on a wolf picture I found. I thought they were pretty rad, though I don't think I copied them exactly right. XD;
