There has been a situation with a big aviarium here in Mexico, El Nido, one of the most important aviaries in Latin America, has been closed since september 2022 because of some document issues, the documents were delivered in a timely manner since then but the goverment has just not let the aviary operate again until today. They have more than 200 species of birds in their care, some of them are endangered species like the Quetzal and a lot of mexican parrots and macaws, they also use the place to educate about the importance of taking care of the enviroment and birds in general. They have been in a very dire situation since the pandemic (they also remained closed due to the meassures) because they only rely on the entrance ticket fees and donations.
