The question has arisen as to "What Is Filk?" Basically, it's songs (parody and otherwise) with something of a SF/F theme.
Here's an example of some of my filks from the FidoNet FILK echo circa 1993-1995. The contact info is 30+ years old, so good luck with that.

Goddess somewhere around me I have hundreds of filk songs downloaded from a SCA BBS in Arizona, I wonder if I can even find them now. They would be in SAMNA IV format though, need LOTUS to convert them to ASCII.

I tend to screw with song lyrics while driving. Back when I was doing 90 mile one way commutes - well I came up with some horrible stuff off of the top of my head. Tended to irritate my coworker/supervisor who was carpooling with me, but my vehicle - my radio - my rules

Yep, guy started playing annoying stuff on his phone - not bothering with his headphones. I pulled over halfway back from Flagstaff, told him to shut the stuff down, use the phones or he could walk back home. He thought I was joking, I wasn't. Guy made some bs about he could get the bigger boss to let me go. I told him Fine, I'm sick of this cr*p, sick of the driving and feel sick all over from what were 730 to 1730 hour work days and 3 hours commute - 5 days a week. I ended up with the local post - with him till he threw a fit about something the client's staff was doing and well got himself barred from working any postings for that Client across the state. I told him to just note it in the daily log but oh no...

yep. He was supposed to be paying me rent too - let him use the extra bedroom in my place. He forgot that a lot and was raiding my booze. Finally tossed him out. No more roomies. Haven't said a word to him in over a year now.
