Well, when the livestock ets out and decides to terrorize the next door neighbors precious, HUGE, vegetable garden, I gotta catch em and catch em QUICK! It's annoying when I get calls at 2 am (3 hours before I wake up for chores) to an angry elderly neighbor hootin and hollarin about 'those damn bulldozers with hooves" destroying his precious, county prize winning veggies.
Not my fault he refuses to put up a better fence because it ain't "aesthetically pleasing" for his carefully planned and laid out landscape job.

And I swear, if I ever sleep in on accident and those heffers have to wait for morning grain, they break out the next morning just in spite.
Luckily I have my favorite mare, Night Cralwer (Ny-Ny) always up to the task. She's my all-a-rounder mount. Some days we will be ropin cattle and live stock, sometimes naughty cowboys/girls who gets too cocky ;) Some days, Ny-Ny and I will be tearing across a jump course, trying to beat our current best time. Hell I've shot my shotgun from her back and this mare never spooked. Just looked around curiously when the sound interrupted her fresh juicy spring grass feast like 'Whyd you make so much noise mom? Heck! *Snorts, shakes head and ignores me again for the grass.... Like I never feed her or something lol*
Would y'all like to know her back story? I might WIP up another piece with it later on, but like I said it's spring time..... On a farm with baby animals popping up everywhere, animals going into heat and getting uppity and aggressive, and ya gotta time planting, pruning and infusing nutrients at JUUUUST the right time when the weathers right, or else harvest will be a bust in the fall.
Life on a working Ranch with such a broad product offering is never boring at least lol
