You aren't going crazy, I have uploaded this particular art before. However, it will be for a different use.

In this case the Æther dragons are a companion species to the Æther wolves. This relationship is similar to the relationship between the Chimerans and the Cerberen. They act as a mount and companion to the wolves. They are incredibly smart and can fly. Their magic abilities are black and dark magic based. Unlike their wolf companion, the male æther dragons ethereal energy they shed doesn't dissipate when it falls off of them. This is often collected and used as ink for written magic and to increase power of magic circles. The dragons themselves can manipulate it and use it for offense and defense.

Male dragons typically bond with male wolves and female dragons bond with female wolves. There are, of course, exceptions though.

They will probably be more fleshed out as well as I think on more info to add.
