Yes he is stocky and a giant (for a fjord), that's my chance. Otherwise i couldn't ride him. All the other fjords i ave seen weren't strong enough to carry me.

A good find for you then. He seems like a nice guy! Hey, are fjord manes naturally that short? Or do you cut it? And the hairs.. how is the coloring on that? is there like.. a central ridge of black hairs with light hairs on either side ?

The coloring is natural and always a back core. But not all fjords have so sort manes, some of them become a mane like a haflinger, but other like my horse ere don't. I have to cut is mane all 4 or 6 weeks, otherwise the mane would felt. And if it's felt you have a big problem with hygiene and the hair roots. He has the thickest and roughest type of mane.

Keeping Jackson's and Henry's manes untangled was a full time task all by itself. :P

Hmm sounds like the problem, which have my Mother with her mare India too. India is a French warmblood, so she as a typical longer mane. But India's lover, Hosch love it to groom her the neck, and after you have horrible knots and rastas in her mane, a lot of work to become they out. The daily work with the Fjordi mane is relaxed but you have they to cut all month, and that's hard work, because the air is so tick and strong.

Yes, the rasta mane. :) LOL! It takes a lot of work to keep those untangled.. and they get tangled so quickly and easily.

Ich habe einen Norweger-Lewitzer Mix, wobei seine Mutter ein Norweger-Kaltblur-Mix ist.
Mein Orion hat auch so seine Stellen, wo er es genießt gekrault zu werden. :)
Bei ihm ist es weniger der Kopf, eher Brust und Bauch. :)

Joa so Fjord und Fjordmix und andere Ponys, auch Kaltblüter sind sehr verschmust^^

*.* 155cm ?! Krass ! Auf dem Foto wirkt er wie 140cm oder höchstens 145cm ! XD

Nja ich bin auch gut 180 und wiege fast 100kg, da sollte man ein Pferd haben das dieses Gewicht abkann.
