A quick rough doodle trying to prove myself that a male Gardevoir CAN be made to look masculine....
...ended in total failure, On the plus side, I got a very basic chara sheet for Nigel out of it, including an older idea for the Team Crossroads uniform (and a pic of said team's logo) and a rough idea for what his twin brother Joshua the Gallade looks like.

the thing is, gardevoir's general design is very feminine so you have to sacrifice quite a bit for masculine powa
For example, the white on his chest looks like a hella low shirt or something, I dunno but from the skirt up all gardevoirs look too girly :[
The coatskirt itself looks alright -- maybe give him something other than tights (as in, boots in addition) -- wearing *just tights* makes him too flambouyant

I dunno, it looks masculine enough that I'd be able to recognize that it's a male Gardevoir. I like that you added the stress lines under his eyes. It not only makes him look older but it kinda gives him a stern appearance. Plus he has helluva narrow hips, looks like.
