Altair is made of custom dyed minky, minky and mochi minky. The clothing is made of jersey knit and cotton fabric, with basic zigzag stitch details and color detailing added on using fabric marker. The stand at about 17 inches from the top of the head to the bottoms of the feet. The details on this plush are machine embroidered and appliqued. The pawpads are 3D and squishy! The sweater/shirt can be pulled off of the plush by pulling it over the head!
Some fun facts:
The only colors on this plush that aren't dyed are the Black and Snow White!
The paw pad threads ARE two different colors! Unfortunately thought this color was a good replacement for the spool I had finished based on a thread chart. I don't think it is.... haha!
This is the first time I’ve used any type of jersey knit on a plush to make the clothing!
Call it pride, but I was determined to keep the extra fluffy details on Altair’s chest and belly, despite also needing to make the clothing.
Altair went through some hefty edits after some colorbleed-- all the white and platinum needed to be replaced after turning blue! But edits were able to be done to the belly/chest fluff design.
