Aha... I thought there might be a spotted skunk in there somewhere!
Ciara doesn't seem to use very strong language very often, so that "fucking" startled me a bit. It seems to me that she's scared, on behalf of those she cares about more than on her own behalf, and maybe not that far from showing it if she's not careful.
Nice to see Fiachra again. I have to wonder, though, whether he's going to obey Feargus in every particular when it comes to keeping Ciara out of trouble. Or at least whether he's going to put up more than a token resistance, reminiscent of one before...

Yes, well they're fun little animals and I'm still quite fond of them. I've got a couple of skunk characters floating around, and one of these days I'd like to actually get them drawn, too.
As for the language thing, I don't tend to let my characters use a lot of harsh language just because it does make it more powerful when they do. Though Ciara's not really the sort of girl who would use it that much anyway. But here, she is quite scared, yes, and more than a little angry too. Which goes hand in hand, really. And she is the kind of girl to wear her emotions on her sleeve a bit.
As for Fiachra, well that would be telling. But I am glad you like him. I've always been fond of him, too, and I'm only sorry he's always taken such a back seat to his sister. Though that has been fixed up at least a little bit these days.
