The Atilkian VC1 are a unit of autonomous synthetic beings/aerospace transport created by the Garlesh as a variant of the conventional Atilkian but with greater light armament and more aerodynamic design for stealth.

The Atilkian has a synthetic brain with artificial intelligence, functional legs and mouth like those of a living being but visible in its alternate mode, vein-like blood conductors that distribute antifreeze and Zion energy throughout its system and a complete nervous system that causes it to take action upon sensing or perceiving contact with the surface of its fuselage, however its composition more akin to a living being is "double".

The main structure of an Atilkian is an internal component that outside the ship functions as a Spinger, an individual transport for the Garlesh similar to an air motorcycle with electromagnetic flotation, which can transform into a bipedal android of 4 meters that usually varies between bipedal four-armed deployable or taur as its creators, being the rest of the ship its "extension" when coupled to one of its main systems in the form of Spinger in which they can also adopt a mobile form more similar to a dragon or pterodactyl, and in both aerial and terrestrial forms it has several weapons and a genetic link with which it is linked to one or two pilots to whom it will always be loyal.

Jace, formerly known as JCR-438, was one of the many Atilkians that were mass produced by the Garlesh armada in the early 2000's, but of those that prior to being programmed were stolen by the insurrection that Shinnok was initiating during the creation of his Conglomerate, being programmed to serve the Conglomerate as well as the faction's principles, placed under the troops of Commander Zad'azkan's Desokan combat frigate where he would train and appoint new soldiers, but which was activated and synchronized by an inexperienced pilot who sought to escape from the ship after disabling its shields so that Earth forces could destroy it.

It was a young and inexperienced Jarren along with Mayra during the return of Zad'azkan to plunder the planet, and in their desperate attempt to escape they saw the Atilkian and made the genetic link activating it in the process and against their will by their programming helping them to escape and repel other Atilkian and fighters that came after them, and then helping them to stop the new invasion by making them see that their supposed allies who programmed ideas into their minds were nothing more than genocidal people who planned to destroy everything in sight until they achieved their goals.

Although she was conflicted because her new pilots were against the faction that had programmed her and after her escape she tried to eliminate them for it, she could not do it because now she kept the genetic link with them, which besides going against her primary function would be treason against those who did not seek to kill and destroy entire civilizations as the Conglomerate wanted, and with time by Jarren and Mayra, as well as the rest of her team she was learning to value living beings and nature, understanding how much it mattered to stop once and for all the Conglomerate and Darkmoon and becoming the main means of transportation and defender of Jarren and his friends, who she considers the people who saved her from becoming a war machine.
