those test patterns are essential! there's a duct tape dummy under that just for size reference. I never really work with measurements, it's all by eye and using a dummy for fitting it.

wow amazing. bittersweet because i had a springer as my first dog :) amazing job! How did you go about "furring" the padding bodysuit? when you made that padding suit did you use a commercial jumpsuit pattern and then draft the digigrade on your own or did you make the pattern entirely from the DTD? I was having issue with tightness when i made a jumpsuit using my duct tape dummy (pattern from it, i didnt cut it up) looks great! is that muslin fabric that you used?

thanks! I work with a few patterns I alter for every project I do. some are based on commercial ones but i change the legs. I pick what ever one would work best as a base and tailor/add stuff from there. i use a duct tape dummy purely for size reference, i never cut them up. I work with pattern shapes and stuff them instead of carving foam pads and making dummies of those. muslin, yes, its great for making patterns.
