On one hand, having Ashley be anything other than an ordinary human seems to go against the point of her character, which is to be the token normal human (and I already established she's very protective of her body/form as it is) - but the more I thought about it, the more I felt like:

(a) Ashley would want someone else in her life eventually; especially once her daughter's grown up

(b) Algrady, the dog alien, was the only one she would have enough chemistry with to have a romantic interest in (besides maybe Skylar but that's never gonna go anywhere)

© Both of them would probably view a similar body / species as a prerequisite to a romantic relationship

(d) Iroshans already have the ability to make you *think* you're in a different body, and also the ability to make synthetic bodies

(e) As long as it's not changing her *actual* body, Ashley would be willing to push her boundaries (in terms of sensory experience) to pursue a relationship, but certain aspects of her apperance/presentation would be very important to her to keep

(f) White socks come in packs of, like, ten pairs so you end up with more than you need

This was gonna be a grand romantic gesture but Ashley decided at the last minute that it seemed kinda mean to ask someone out on a date in front of a bunch of onlookers.

(p.s. given the continuity I already established, this would have to be when they're both at least fifty)
