This looks so much better irl! SO MUCH BETTER. The colours ;_;
But seriously, this is amazing. From every little technical detail to the symbolism behind it all (aaw, the clock...that's the only 'contact' he will ever have with his sister :c). I also like how you drew him all calm, but somehow a bit regretful-looking. Maybe it's unintentional, but seeing how he died, it really adds to the story in my head. Funny, because before that I never really gave him too much credit- I've always seen him as a hypocritical, rash person who died because he did something he thought to be the most cowardly thing possible...and with this you've made me rethink my own character as a person. He's still quite terrible haha, just not as flatly terrible as before...blablabla.
I also like how trippy the Ideal World is. Because it is, I can see myself going crazy there. With all that machinery around? I can imagine it making low, ever-present noises, humming and clicking. With time you'd stop hearing them, of course: they would become a part of your reality, a background noise you only notice when it stops...but I somehow doubt this machinery stops even for a moment, and the noise is echoing in the back of your mind for eternity, even if you are not fully aware of it. Yep, crazy C:
Thank you for this, I'm going to treasure it forever C':. Going straight onto my wall, so I can oogle it as much as I please.
Also- seeing your work in person made me appreciate you as an artist even more. I really am blown away by your use of colours, and the patina effect, especially around the green/blue areas...I still can't figure out how you did that effect on the planet. You crazy colourist, you.
Thank you ;u;

Hello, huge comment! 83
His expression was made to look as if he was looking back, or reflecting if you will, on his closest past. Having trouble remembering or understanding hat just happened, you know? Anku dying had gnawed a bit on me, and for myself I decided "hey, I'll just give him what I think is a fitting continuation in the Ideal World", because I get so stupidly attached to certain characters in comics and games and such. So your interpretation there is actually really good (I struggle with expressions). Also glad to have made you reconsider the character. THAT was unintentional, but still nice to know. <3
As for the Ideal World and the sounds that the clockwork makes, that is just a transcending period. The clockwork dissappears once you've "moved on", so to speak. In the Ideal World, supposedly you can hear whatever you want, do whatever you want and generally act however you want without any harm coming to neither yourself or others, although since Repta created it it has been met with a lot of... criticism, so to speak. That's why there are antagonists; Angrbotha and Väinämöinen for example see it as their mission to forever seal the passage between the Ideal World and This World.
I'm really glad I sent you the original, too. I think it's the first original drawing that I have really worked hard with that I have ever sent abroad. So now I can brag about my drawing being in your dorm, hahah.
Oh, and as for the planet effect; I use markers that are very "liquid" in nature. That means, if I don't use a bleedproof pad, the colors become very hard to control. That's what happened here. I wanted it to look very fluid-ish and liquified, so I used a drawing pad with extra absorbatory properties, and the marker just kinda bleeds out to blend in with nearby colors. If you're interested in the markers, I use Letraset Pros. C:

Dead dude. Caught between in the mechanics of physical reality perhaps? Earth looks like its in a womb there. Continents all out of whack there so maybe a future Earth or some other planet. I like it.
Let go bud, it will be ok.
Alright now that I got done with my own see through I guess Ill bother to see what the artist and subject have written and have to say for themselves.
