mineral oil should loosen up the adhesive without any negative effects -- the best thing to break up the sticky is vodka but I'm NOT confident that'd be the best idea.

It was a joke; I found that horribly written request for help on a forum somewhere and the thought of a snake with one of those things stuck to its head made me laugh so I drew this >>;

I like his dopey open-mouth and how there's a hole in the adhesive for his eye like those little circles used to repair or reinforce the binder holes on notebook paper.

He's supposed to be pressing his face against the glass or something, i dunno xD

It would have been funnier if I just drew Sniffie with the thing stuck on his face but I thought having draklerahl's head spikes stuck to it would be funny as well x3

it's funny cause I was using tape to try to catch an escaped sand boa.. I probably would have had to use that solution had he ever turned up. :C

Try soaking the ball python's head in lukewarm water-- keeping the nostrils above the water, of course. You may have to hold him by the neck to keep the desired area submerged. 5-15 minute intervals should weaken the adhesive so the backing comes off gently and whatever residue remains could probably gently be rubbed off. Keep soaking until the adhesive strip comes off with almost no force; especially since the face and eyecaps are a vulnerable area.

I hope things turn out okay.

The solution posted above mine would probably work much better.

As a fellow snake owner, my first reaction was to offer advice and feel concern.

Though I probably should've known better than to think she'd hastily write a plea for help in a FA submission instead of a journal-- let alone ask for help here-- and then take the time to draw this when there are more pressing situations at hand.

But who was gauge?

The sticky part (thankfully) never left the glass, but Rocko was always crawling up on top of his thermometer and knocking it down (and never the humidity gauge! Always thermometer!). Drove me nuts, and eventually I just switched to a flat strip thermometer.

Yeah SNiffie's hygrometer is in pieces because he knocked it down and it fell into his water bowl. A little ironic...
