Merv DeGriff's gryphon costume for Champions Online
Here's Merv's current look for Champions, a nice full blown gryphon. This was another sketch done recently that I inked. I'm not 100% happy with it as I was experimenting with some forshortening ... that and the wings just feel tacked on and I'm not liking that.
Been wrestling this past year with what kind of critter I am... gryphon, bird, owlbear, and this online character has bore the brunt of my feathered identity crisis.
Done with pencil and then inked with a faber castel PITT pen.
