A brief peek behind the scenes of the production of "Family Matters". I used a somewhat less wordy version of this spreadsheet to keep the illos in order and determine when we needed art for a particular chapter, what the subject of the art was going to be and who was going to be doing the art...

As you can see, the art alone was a doozy!

The basic stats:

• 60+ chapters

•At least 1, and sometimes more, bespoke (i.e. created specifically for the chapter) illos.

•I wound up doing about 75% of the illos, whether as colorist, editor, commissioner or all of the above.

This has been a labor of love for years now.

Suffice to say, we're not planning to do anything like bespoke art for each chapter anytime soon...
