Your vision of what the Skeksis potentially looked like when they were younger is stunning. I always imagined that they likely started off as incredibly beautiful creatures, which is why they are often so vain... and their corruption, obsession with living forever, and great age over time made them lose that beauty. I'm not sure if you intended for them to be a younger version of themselves, but this is exactly what I had imagined they would look like as a species if they weren't corrupt.
Thank you so much! I originally drew them fluffy because I had read about them being beautiful in their youth, and fluffy is easier to draw, haha!
I usually draw them from between 0 Trine after Division - 400 trine after Division, since we don't get much canon material from those times. It's a lot of fun portraying them just as silly and evil as they are but very pretty. And it's fun to imagine how they ruled early on as I don't think they've been so ass out about being evil the whole time

No, I agree. I doubt they started off so incredibly evil. I mean they were obviously... not good. But, even in the show we can see a transition. For instance, when the scientist killed the first Gelfling with his machine to drain her essence, a few of the Skeksis were horrified at first with the General even screaming, "What have you done!?" But, their horror and any bit of morality was quickly simmered down once it was explained to them that by killing the Gelfling, they could potentially live forever. This however did show one thing... even after they had decayed physically from corruption, they still had not yet taken the full turn to absolute darkness that we see later in the show and in the movie itself. So younger Skeksis? They likely had far more hope of being decent.
