Redesign of my oldest "sona". Due to some personal disconnects I needed to rework her design, colors, and importantly name. Both Enya and Gale are my main "sonas" and both align with my personal interests.
The main component of Enya is her representation of my struggles with mental health and personal identity. She contains components of comfort for me and resembles some of my personal feelings of 'not being seen' and struggling 'to see others' hence her eyes. The battle between grace and rage are two things I struggle with, especially since I'm feminine yet larger and stronger than most... its not an easy balance. Hence, you'll often see her drawn very "horselike" which I find represents a mix of both.
Her colors and design were changed to be more complicated as I feel that I'm not a simple individual, and honestly more confused than I seem. I have always connected with the water, as its beautiful. Even with its beauty, I fear it and what's below it heavily. My life is a hard balance and often I must be the opposite of what I am to function. Enya means fire, while the rest of her represents water which I find fitting for that conflict.
"The Chosen" is a title for her for what I struggle with socially. I truthfully am a "burnt out gifted kid" like many others. I have immense expectations to fulfill (mainly put onto myself), which often I cannot follow through with. That comment of "you'll do great things" when I likely wont amount to much has always stuck as a title for me.
So there's a tidbit about me and a bit of my redesign.
