This will never be finished
Something I had been working on ages ago but never got the chance to finish. Sadly, the file was lost on my old computer :C
I really had high hopes for it, but that's life I guess.
Enjoy the Work in not-progress.

why you would consider this "lost" unless you wanted to loose it. Just because the "file is gone" (back-ups anyone?) doesn't mean you could not re-constitute and continue with the work. You don't say how old this work is per se, but I also know that drawing on a computer has become (technologically at least) easier and simpler as time progresses. I don't know which "tech level" you like (I still use pencil and paper, but then, I'm an old school animator) but it does occur to me that you may be pulling out your whiskers to spite your muzzle on this one, and lots of other examples of your work that you've said won't be finished. It is of course, your decision. But I have to be level honest and tell you that I think you're cheating yourself and your audience by giving up on so much so quickly.
I also write, and yes, there have been countless times since the antediluvian days when mean old word processors with 8 inch disks "ate" something I have worked on long and hard. If I had given up on those works at that point, the entire body of the work I've done might well fit on a post card. Just last month, I lost one entire act of an Animation script when a car spun out on ice , hit a pole, and blacked out my entire block in a shower of sparks. Thanks to the programs I use being able to incrementally back up a file as I worked on it, the real "loss" was most of 10 pages or so. Y'know what? I went back and re-did those ten pages, and when I was done, I was happier with them because they worked better than the original sequence I had planned for them. So the key is to look at "losing" something, not so much as a "subtraction", but as a chance to do creative addition and augmentation.
"Loss" is in the heart, and in the mind, but so is creative determination. The only time you "lose" anything, is when your heart lets it be gone.
So, other than showing off things that won't be done, why not clue us in on some of what you're working on now, and that will be finished?
