So it's not furry, but it is an animal. lol It's a Wampa from Empire Strikes Back. The face and nose are faux suede, the horns are fleece, and body is velboa fur. Eyes, mouth, and blood are all cotton while the teeth are made from pleather, for an extra intimidating look. =3

Last year I started a Star Wars themed wall quilt. It's not finished, sadly, and since starting I've decided I want to take it in a different direction so this block will most likely not be in the final product. I'm pleased with the turn out despite being new at machine applique. This was completely done by free hand stitching, meaning I didn't program in the design.
