It's fair to say he's not the man he was. A few months after leaving Sibyl and the UK and setting off into the wilderness, he had a serious breakdown and ended up in psychiatric hospital. But he's now clawing his way back towards a normal life. Still on a fair bit of medication, seeing a therapist, and back to living with his mother; but he's working part-time, making friends and has a steady and loving relationship with his boyfriend Stuart. He's much quieter than he was, but much more hopeful and (some lapses excepted) probably happier on the whole.
