Having been nosy about your profile to see what the original 'yena looks like, I gotta say, this is gonna turn out pretty awesome. =)

i use something called crayola modeling air dry clay but i have had alot of problems with it c racking badly after it dries even when i use a large amount. how do you keep it from cracking like that?

This clay requires water to keep it workable. I just put a little water on my fingers and smooth the clay over. Honestly, I've never had an issue with cracking as far as this stuff is concerned.

Also, I've used the Crayola stuff on my fursuits. It's good for making things like noses and tongues, but not so good for smaller things. Also, the color rubs off if it gets wet, I discovered this winter.

we ll this stuff is like ceramic when it dries but after its started drying it starts cracking really bad. I tried to make a turtle shell for my RC Koopa shell project and it cracked all to peices when it was drying. Nothing touched it at all so im just not sure what to do about this kind of clay. I can take pictures of the project i was working on . i thought it might be ok there but even when i put more in the cracks it doesnt seem to fix em.

Then it might just be bad material to work with. :/ I can't really recommend anything other than trying a different clay and seeing how that works out for you.
