Thanks. It is my first real attempt at working with photoshop. Took quite a lot of hours but I just felt motivated ^^. Glad you like it.

He came out very cute, and you did good work on the shading. It does look a bit like a paper-cutout, but that gives it a cool effect.

Hmm haven't thought of that. Now if i knew how to do backgrounds, that would help a lot. XD

Considering that the original was black and white lineart, this is really nice work! I would say more practice with shading would be good, but hey, you're already ahead of me with digital coloring!

I learned through David Lillie and if you'd like we can teach each other. The simple stuff was working with the layers. and the shading is hard, the program had it within the layers so it wasnt that hard. The next step is trying to learn how to use saturation in the perfect moment, and then with grading. Someday I'll be able to learn it and apply it. But I'll learn by teaching others what I know, and learn what I don't.
