I've been meaning to refurb Zero's ref sheet for quite a while. I always meant to made a version that depicted them with breasts and never got around to it 'til now!
You'd never know Zero was a robot just by looking at them.
Ok, maybe the blue skin and the slight shine to their eyes from the LED's behind them is a little bit of a giveaway, but everyone's got a little bit of body modification these days, don't they? And typically, robots don't have a full head of hair and squishy soft tissue body parts. If you look closely though, you can see spots where their fur parts at unnatural spots where the faux fur paneling meets at the seems. Rest your head on their chest and you'd hear their interior power cell thrumming almost like a heartbeat, but not quite.
Zero's given name is Unit #20172 - Series 0, but that doesn't roll off the tongue so good, so they went with something a little more pithy. They were born as part of the first generation of Service Drone Synthetics manufactured by Spark Industries. Series 0 drones rolled out to replace previous iterations of more traditional service industry robots with more lifelike units: they were fully customizable, and barely distinguishable from their flesh-and-blood counterparts while still being able to handle dangerous environments and handle heavier workloads. Since they were programmed to be as lifelike as possible, Series 0 drones tend to develop personalities and independent thought over time, which is bothersome to their creators, but ultimately tolerated since it allows them to function autonomously with minimal oversight.
Zero has put a lot of time into customizing their body and creating a range of alternate forms to match their gender fluidity. Typically, they come off as androgynous leaning masc, but they are able to install alternative body parts that allow them to express their femininity when the mood strikes them.
