Oh boy so we have a few here. I want to focus more on commissioning for a while so you could say I'm going out with a bang
I'm sure my shelves will appreciate it lol
Shattered Glass Flamewar
So I'm not really sure why she's sold under the Shattered Glass line, but I've wanted a Flamewar for a while. In fact, I only got Arcee initially because I'd given up hope for a Flamewar repaint. Red + Black always goes great (something something Oncilla), and it really makes an otherwise mediocre figure pretty great.
Legacy Armada Starscream
Armada Starscream is somewhat of an anomaly among screamers, given that he's a noble warrior who betrays Megatron out of principle, not amibition. There's been a lot of comparisons to Beast Wars Dinobot and for good reason. This figure is a pretty good update to the original, but he really needs Swindle and a proper set of swords to pop. Especially a sword that can become a wing like on the original.
Studio Series 1986 Sludge
This guy has been impossible to avoid for a while so this was almost like a "FINE I'LL SEE WHAT HE'S LIKE" purchase, since I'd only been avoiding Sludge since the Dinobots really need Grimlock in a collection to work. But, I'm pleased to say this guy is MASSIVE. He's by far the largest leader figure I've seen at retail for a while, and it gives him some great presence.
Masterpiece Blackout
Speaking of big motherfuckers, this guy was on sale. The Studio Series Blackout got me back into this hobby when I was depressed af in 2018, so this feels like coming full circle. The two figures share a lot, but the MP improves on everything massively. Literally everything.
Legacy Armada Hotshot
Another nostalgia piece. Hotshot was my generation's (the Zillenials) Bumblebee, as the yellow youth character that appeared in everything. I had the original figure and he was one of my favourites - in part because he was so solid I never lost any parts as a kid. This one is a bit finickier and actually not as show accurate, although it is in terms of proportions. Still, it's better than the other Generations-grade version of Hotshot, and a nice compromise between the janky yet solid original, and the finicky but proportional older figure.
Studio Series Megatronus Prime/ The Fallen
My god this guy is GORGEOUS. He was basically not released in the UK for some reason so I had to import him from Indiana, US, but it was worth it. The Fallen never transformed so they were able to put all their focus into making his bot form as detailed and articulated as possible (I mean, they did give him a ship form, it's just a lil half arsed).
Fun fact: Tony Todd's perfomance as him is how I imagine Constantine speaks.
Legacy Beast Wars Transmetal 2 Megatron
I have a MP-style Cryotek, so this was interesting as a point of reference. There are compromises, but overall this figure achieves basically all the same as it for a third of the price. There are compromises though, such as the Dragon neck, and the giant ass flap.
IDW Comics Blurr
Of the three Blurrs made from this mold, I think this is my favourite, design wise, in how it's a nice midpoint between the G1 and a more stylised look. He was going cheap, so I nabbed him. His arms a bit annoying though, due to the car bits and the weird shoulder connections.
