Here I am at Halloween 2010. The party was a Steampunk theme, so I went as a steampunk Micheal J Nelson, and his automaton companion Sir Thomas Servo.
The Mike part consisted of a brown Boiler suit which I thought would better fit the Victorian theme. He worked in the boiler rooms of Deep 13 (hence the sooty hair) and was shot into the briny depths when his predecessor Joel escaped the S.O.L. (The Submersible of Love). But he escaped for some shore leave, and brought Tom with him.

Me and my friends watch at least one mst3k or rifftrax every time we hang out :) I remember one summer, I sat down, and decided to simply watch every single episode from KTMA to the end in one long row. Took all summer, but I did it! It is my one nerd achievement.
Have you seen rifftrax btw? I do hope you have, and if not, google it! Mike, Keven, and Bill are still at it, and still as awesome as ever :3

Love Rifftrax, hated KTMA. HATE KTMA. Once Mike joined the bots for Riffing goodness, I realized just how irritating Joel can be, from the random noises, unending unfunny mini-skits in squeaky voices, and frequent religious jokes, I have a hard time watching some of the earlier episodes, and the KTMA ones were almost unwatchable. I saw a few episodes and just plain gave up on them. The show got better when Kevin Murphy joined, but the final three, Mike, Boll and Kevin are the dream team, and I'm thrilled they're still riffing today.
So, I tip my hat to an even Greater Mistie than even myself. God speed, good sir.

Yeah, the KTMA season was a pain, but I can be quite a masochist when it comes to bad movies :P I like Joel, but just in a different way than Mike I guess. I never used to like the skits, any of them, either, until I did my watch through. I decided to just force myself through the skits and by the 2nd season, they had started to grow on me, and now, I actually do enjoy them a lot :3
