Opened, it shows I still need to lay blue felt into a few of the smaller compartments. The chest has a main area to store chains and larger bits of jewellry, two large round compartments for things like earrings and hoops, a medium round compartment for finger rings and the like and two small compartments for whatever else comes along.

i like it :) it looks like a nice little case for jewelry that would be easy to take on the road. organized and keeps them from bouncing around and getting tangled etc.
i personally always found it hard to take jewelry with me when traveling because I was afraid of losing it or them getting tangled/damaged in a pouch or makeup case.
