Wow..it's too bad these came out blurry. It is rare to encounter a raptor with a handy camera, let alone be able to get a shot of one with freshly killed prey!

Wow, that would be so cool to run into a hawk close enough that you could take a picture like this. Awesome! You didn't get video of it too did you?

Not as close as you might think- this involved 3x optical zoom (the maximum that camera was capable of) and, I believe, an additional 5x digital zoom- which does nothing more than lower the resolution of the picture by crop instead of by scale. No video; the camera I had was theoretically capable of it at 320 x 240 @ 15FPS, but with how bad the battery was by then, I think it would do it for all of four minutes. (The photos taken of this particular hawk, without flash, used up my entire battery over 20 minutes.)

I've gone through three more cameras in the intervening years.
