Biker Mice From Mars Vinnie & Charley "Dogtags"
Well I have always wanted to do a BMFM thing with Vinnie & Charley, so I got the Ben Calder "How to Draw" book & did them in that style like the Batman animated or Superman Animated style... or close enough to it.
I did the motorcycle with some modification because his bike seemed to bulky in the front... I still want to tweak it a bit more.
I did the red paint job with a bit of a camo touch inspired by military camo. You see the way I first thought, I thought red stood out too much for this guy... though he is cocky, he must have some military common sense.
until I thought a bit more about it. The way I see it, the guys were military guys fighting on the surface of Mars which surface is rusty red & the best camo there would be digitalized red. So it made more sense for his bike to be red too... So I put a digital pattern on his bike in red.
Also the scarf didn't make sense until I realized when I was at the sandbox I wore a scarf all the time. The dust-storms there would rip up the sands enough to coat your lungs & cause emphysema... breathing in a dust-storm like that was like smoking a pack in 5 minutes! Also since they would whip up in a second, I always wore it around my neck to cover my face & eyes.
So I made his simple scarf into something like a Shemagh Tactical Desert Scarf in Mars red for Vin to sport around.
What I drew was Vinnie & Charley going on a date, but Vinnie is giving his earthly gal his dog-tags... where if you know, you give only to your best gal.
I put on a bit of a biker kind of style for Charley. I love net stockings! So why not have her sport some?

Arrrgh why is no one faving this?!
Honestly Vinnie/Charley was not my favourite couple on the show, but this is sweet. And now I feel derp for not realising Vinnie had the most sensible bike colour for Mars... though... riding around shirtless with white fur somewhat spoils any sensibility...but then again, yeah, Vinnie was all flourish with little forethought. XD
I wanna see the second series. X<

Thank you so much! It means allot that you like it!
It means allot that you noticed this!
As for the new series, I saw it on youtube... your not missing anything. For some reason they gave Throttle these weird glasses & they continued some crazy story plot where the Plutarchians are gone but are being attacked by cat people or something like that.... well Limburger is`gone but Bree is back...
Also to not encourage kids to take steroids I guess, they made the characters with less muscle.
They made this one episode into a musical where Harley (the mouse chick from the last episode in the 90's) became bad or resentful & started singing this bad montage. I actually was glad that it didn't show in the states.
Also they made Charley act like she is from Jersey or something like that. They cooled the flirtations between Vinnie & her because it was controversial!
They only show it in Europe but the quality of the cartoon & art was really down hill.
So it just got lost in the translation. You can see it but I say stick with the original. Rick Unger had it going on before the Power Rangers buried it.
The Power Rangers had actually gotten allot of action cartoons to cancel. I resent Power Rangers for that.
I used the style of Ben Caldwell... I got his book & I always wished that he took up this cartoon & vamped it like he did with Superman Animated & Batman... Imagine BMFM in that style with new adventures! I would love to see that!

What? I don't understand how my comment elicited this response from you.
I mean yeah he IS lucky to have her because she's a capable, talented and generally sensible individual...but I DO think she could do better.
I don't disapprove of this coupling because later on Vinnie DID have some character development that did calm him down a bit and grow him up some, it would've been nice to see them grow more as a couple, but DEFINITELY early on, I couldn't see what she saw in him to start reciprocating. Honestly I'm not sure how honest his interest was to begin with, he came off as a sexist flirt and any female would've been treated the same, but Charley was the main and often times ONLY female that he had access to. And honestly I don't like when media rewards that kind of bro-behaviour.
And species has nothing to do with that. They're both sapient mammals, they can make their own decisions. When you just say mammals it's like you're saying a human loving a labrador is okay.
ON THAT NOTE, Roger and Jessica are also a different case, they're NOT a different species, they're both Toons.

Obviously both couples are cartoon characters, little more than ideas brought to life by animators and studio backing.
Within their respective universes however;
Charley is a human woman from Earth, Vinnie is a mouse man from Mars, 2 very different species. The fact they can interact is thanks to Earth television broadcasts reaching Mars teaching them about Earth (mostly American, coincidentally and luckily) culture. They have things in common, and an ability to communicate as equals, and yes, Charley is classified as a mammal, and likely so would the martian mice.
In Sci-Fi in general, most Human/Alien pairings are initially viewed as unusual or taboo the closer it occurs to a First Contact event (hence why in later Star Trek series inter-species relationship between sapient races is slightly more tolerated).
Roger and Jessica aren't considered an inter-species couple because in their universe they're both the same species: Toons. A Toon/Human pairing would be considered very unusual (didn't stop Jessica's twin sister from attempting to seduce Eddie in the sequel novel), but a Toon that vaguely resembles an anthro rabbit and a toon that vaguely resembles a human is ONLY considered unusual because Jessica is considered VERY ATTRACTIVE and worldy, and Roger... isn't. It's more a confusion of how their personalities could mesh to cause them to be a couple in the first place (the original novel's version has very unfortunate implications).
And that's how their relationships differ, within their own universes.
TL;DR:
Charley is human, Vinnie is martian; they have xenophobic taboos to overcome, from an alien-biological standpoint.
Roger and Jessica are both toons; its their mis-matched personalities that cause people to question them as a couple.
The Couples' relationships are not comparable.

Well in Star Wars, humans romance alien beings too even if some have fur on them.
Nothing wrong with interspecies romance as it worked for Eliza and Goliath, April and Don in Ninja Turtles, Howard the Duck and Bev in the comics, Star Wars humans and aliens, Star Trek humans and aliens, Eric and Ariel in Little Mermaid, Madison and Tom Hanks in Splash, Hepizah and Consair in X-Men comics/animated show, Charlene and Vinnie on Biker Mice, Minerva Mink and Rick Mayers Jr. in the fanfiction series Lifestyles with Minerva Mink by Shrekrulez on Deviantart (Rick is a human and Minerva is an anthro humanoid mink being which makes sense since both are mammal beings and a must read on DA for fans of the mink) Duckman who scored with different mammal anthro beings/different birds/even human ladies on the show, Batman and Cheetah on Justice League, Beast and Carley in X-Men TAS, Beauty and The Beast 80's show, Margaret's dad Frank Smith with Denise on Regular Show etc.
I believe in comics especially furry comics/fanfiction/sci-fi fantasy stories even Star Wars/animation/games/Sci-fi fantasy films etc. that a person should have the right to love whoever they want to love as the artist or writer thinks so and those that say they shouldn't have that right are ignorant and i support it in interspecies romance even of humans with alien beings/humanoid beings/mutants etc.
As Prince Lir in Peter S Beagle's The Last Unicorn (Book and movie) once said when he found out the loveliest girl he ever laid eyes on and romanced known as Lady Amalthea is a humanized unicorn "Unicorn, mermaid, sorceress, vampire, gargoyle, centaur..no name you'd give her would surprise or frighten me, i love whom i love" which is one of my all time favorite quotes.
me too! When it was OK to blow a building to smithereens & not think it in bad taste because of 9/11....
