Born on the colonized exoplanet Janus, a world strangely divided in two sides that change their sun's position every half an Earth year between a forest half with a temperate climate, and the half not so affected by sunlight in an arctic zone with low temperatures, the young Rayn Yuleran, a taur zoosapien grífido taur of hybridization between Azor and arctic wolf, learned to live in the changing environment of his planet, and in spite of being one of the few taurs of his kind catalogued up to that moment, his acquaintances doubted that in spite of having wings on his back he would be able to fly because of his anatomy as he grew, however the hybrid demonstrated that he was indeed able to fly without problems even with his extra legs and more organs than the other bird zoosapiens and gryphids.

Rayn being one of the few people on the planet who preferred to live in the frozen zones, learned over the years to survive in that environment and taking advantage of his ability to fly and carry a lot of things in his lower half, he specialized in Arctic Assistance Officer, who along with a special team would be responsible for monitoring the frozen hemisphere of the planet to ensure that cargo transfer operations, ship takeoffs, transport trips for resources and explorations to different areas were achieved without difficulties, since the same cold and snowstorms that occurred in that area were capable of sometimes damaging equipment and vehicles that were on their way, becoming a recognized and intrepid explorer and rescuer who helped on several occasions to avoid accidents in the icy area.

In the face of the first massive attack by the Kor'vlann on all known worlds, Rayn had a dangerous encounter with the invaders from another galaxy in which he was able to repel them from a crashed travel transport until more reinforcements could arrive at the cost of having lost his left eye and replacing it with a bionic one, but despite this he continued with his work to help others in that dangerous part of his world and helped Niru and Pulse to confront the Kor'vlann having discovered a great weakness of the species that he would later teach CASE to confront them, joining them on several occasions to help repel the invaders from other colonized worlds.
