So it's not furry, but it is an animal. lol It's a Tauntaun from Empire Strikes Back. The face and horn are fleece, and body is fur, and the eye is suede. All line details were created with thread.

Last year I started a Star Wars themed wall quilt. It's not finished, sadly, and since starting I've decided I want to take it in a different direction so this block will most likely not be in the final product. I'm pleased with the turn out despite being new at machine applique. This was completely done by free hand stitching, meaning I didn't program in the design.
