The dragon I helped designed for a close friend's project? Well this is Sapphire, a character that I came up with on the spot for said project.

She's essentially the polar opposite to Ares, a timid dragon sorceress, part of a royal lineage known as the Crystalwings. She has dreams of becoming a "High Sorceress", only the most revered, respected and most powerful of them all. Also, unlike Ares, she's civilized enough to wear actual clothes. For now at least.

Unfortunately, things were not quite easy for her before she met Ares.

During her teenage years, she was constantly harassed and taken advantage of because of her timid nature. Luckily, her brother Kydos was there to aid her out of every situation.

However, one fateful day when Sapphire was being bullied, Kydos intervened as always did to protect his sister. But in a matter of seconds, Sapphire suddenly found her brother in her arms, with a scalding wound from a magical blast through his chest. Completely frozen in shock, unable to utter a single word, Sapphire was unable to do anything as her brother died in her arms, before passing out from the overwhelming pressure.

Afterwards, consumed with guilt and misery, she ran from her home with only her goal to become a High Sorceress pushing her on.

It was only a matter of time when she came across Ares in his journey.
