Number 5 in my Ladies of Arda series....here's Arwen, played by
's Celest. Of course we all know Arwen is a major character in the story, and for this pic I tried to capture a bit of her sadness - being immortal must be hard sometimes, watching as so many things change and die away. I think the best representation of Arwen from the movie is this little clip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6mc3Fv7vDM
Arwen was the daughter of Elrond Half-Elven and Queen Celebrian. Born in the year 241 of the Third Age of the Sun, she was considered the greatest beauty of her time. She was known as Evenstar by the Elves, and often called Undomiel, or “evening-maid” by Men. For nearly three thousand years she lived in Rivendell and Lothlorien. In 2951, she met and fell in love with Aragorn, the heir to the Dunedain kingdoms. In 2980 they became betrothed, but Elrond forbade this marriage until Aragorn became king. Aragorn’s deeds in the War of the Ring resulted in fulfillment of Elrond’s conditions, and Arwen became Aragorn’s Queen. For Arwen, this was a brave choice, for through this marriage she chose to share the ultimate fate of all mortals. She bore Aragorn several daughters and one son, and they reigned happily and well until Aragorn’s death in the year 120 of the Fourth Age. The following year Arwen went back to Lothlorien where she chose to die on Cerin Amroth, where she and Aragorn had been betrothed.

Oh my gosh that came out as beautiful as I had envisioned it would be!
Celest as, Arwen is just so pretty in your style I can't get over it!
The BG is also a lovely touch to it, I also love how you captured her emotion so well <3
Thank-you so much for this lovely commission, I will be sure to love it for years and years to come C:

She's so very beautiful!
And I just realized something: the terrible future Elrond shows Arwen in the third LOTR movie comes true in the end -- Aragorn dies and then she wanders into an empty land and dies all alone lamenting that "the blessing of Men [death] is a bitter blessing indeed."
