As I was trying to figure out a backstory for TJ, I figured I'd have him go on a bit of an adventure after being unable to secure a scholarship for football, opting not to go for collegiate wrestling. So rather than doing that, an extended family member offered him an opportunity to give sumo a shot inviting him to train in his stable! Obviously, it didn't really work out since he went back to pro wrestling but that's not to say he wasn't good at sumo.
