That's what happened to me when I went out shopping a few days ago. I ended up with a hand basket full of discount chips and candy (from the damaged package/yesterday's bake sections) and only a couple of "real food"items.

I was disappointed in myself as I didn't even get anything for dinner that day (which is why I went out shopping in the first place).

It's gotten me in trouble, in the past

My 'Go To' depression snack is usually something very sugary.
Things like Twinkies, Oreos, Butterscotch Krimpets, and Frosted Mini Wheats. ^_^

A-fscking-MEN! treating my depression with sugary treats became a habit as a child. one that led to my type 2 diabeties. Now changing my diet and lifestyle to avoid it getting worse is really really difficult.

As someone who's no stranger to depression, that sad expression on their face really tugs on my heart strings. 🥺

Similar issue/feeling here. Worse is when I manage to not buy the stuff and then spend all the night/time looking for it and everything else just ends up going bad cause I have no energy to make or eat it.
